Poster Art Q & A

Description

The peace and love themes associated with 1960s San Francisco were not passing fancies, but reflected genuine local interest stemming from the establishment of a Japanese Zen Center in the city in 1962. In 1967, the Society built the first Zen monastery in the West near Monterey, and proceeds from this concert benefited the Society. "Mountains and Rivers Without End" may refer to Tessajara, the monastery's site in Los Padres National Forest, and was drawn in the shape of the Wheel of Buddhist Law.

Wolfgang's Vault owns one of the world's largest collections of original concert posters, featuring hundreds of rock posters, political posters, sports posters, comedy posters and others that were previously unavailable to the general public. Virtually all of our concert posters are in mint condition, and many are signed by the headline performer or the graphic artist.
