Poster Art Q & A

Description

Cream member Ginger Baker maintained that they "... came to the Fillmore with the attitude that we were going to blow these Yanks off the stage, and we proceeded to do just that." Stanley Mouse made the infrequent choice to associate the color of the group's name with the background color of the poster.

The 1st printing poster is on uncoated matte index and measures 13 15/16" x 21". There is some color variation throughout the print run. It was printed before the concert.

The 2nd printing is on coated glossy stock that measures 13 7/8" x 21". It looks generally lighter than the original printing, and it was printed after the concert.

Wolfgang's Vault owns one of the world's largest collections of original concert posters, featuring hundreds of rock posters, political posters, sports posters, comedy posters and others that were previously unavailable to the general public. Virtually all of our concert posters are in mint condition, and many are signed by the headline performer or the graphic artist.
