Poster Art Q & A

Description

B.B. King got his first standing ovation at the Fillmore. He loved those audiences because they participated, and they let one know in no uncertain terms when the music pleased them. The John H. Meyers figures are reminiscent of Abe Hirschfield drawings.

The 1st printing is on uncoated slightly rough stock measuring 13 13/16" x 22 3/16". It was printed before the concert.

The post-concert 2nd printing is on smooth shiny stock that is slightly wider than the original, measuring 13 15/16" x 22 5/16".

Wolfgang's Vault owns one of the world's largest collections of original concert posters, featuring hundreds of rock posters, political posters, sports posters, comedy posters and others that were previously unavailable to the general public. Virtually all of our concert posters are in mint condition, and many are signed by the headline performer or the graphic artist.
