I had marked "favorite" for another Don McLean concert available on Wolfgang's Vault; so, I checked this one out. I still enjoy his singing and music. He does have original material. He is so much more than "American Pie" and I'm glad that I can look beyond that even though I still enjoy "American Pie."

Yeah, but what a song to be pigeonholed by.

Thanks, Norm. We've added that and it will be on the site soon.

For completeness, the summary should probably mention that Mr. McLean plays the banjo as well as the acoustic guitar. As to the concert itself, what a great lyricist. Too bad he was pigeonholed by one song.
