The situation allowed him to record his first solo album, Highway Call, and to perform with countless great musicians for the pure joy of playing, without any expectations of making money in the…entire summary

Dickey Betts shows many influences on this recording and his solo release, Richard Forrest Betts. His own influence on the Allman Brothers Band' creator Duane allman is not recognized greatly, but Betts showed everyone in the band how to jam melodicaly while playing cicles around everyone else including Duane.

As a tried and true ABB fan, I didnt quite know what to expect from D. Betts away from the Allman brothers, but this set is a great concert. Got more of a country sound than the ABB. His band seems top notch, and its got enough long jams and ABB songs to please any Allman fan.
