David Gray

Englishman David Gray was interested in music at a young age and started playing in punk bands while living in Liverpool. After finishing college, he settled in London and was soon signed by two record companies, one in the U.K. and the other in the United States. His first single, "Birds Without Wings," was released in 1992, and he followed up with his first album, A Century Ends. After two more albums, Gray's popularity was catching on in Ireland and England. His fourth album, White Ladder, became an international hit and was greeted with open arms in the U.S. Sounding like a young Van Morrison and lyrically skilled in the manner of Bob Dylan, Gray's music hypnotizes fans with its emotionally pleasing appeal.
