Concert Summary

Nearly an exact duplicate of the first set recorded the night before, this Bowie show seems to contain a tad more energy and tightness than the previous night. It's clear that Bowie is definitely enjoying the experience of working with this world class band, which features Lenny Pickett and members of the Tower of Power horn section. Both Carlos Alomar, who started his work with Bowie on Young Americans in 1975, and Earl Slick, who replaced original Bowie axeman Mick Ronson in 1974, provide guitars that work exceptionally well together.     I saw this tour at the Spectrum in Philadelphia.... changed my life. Out of the hundreds of concerts that I have seen, this one stands out more than any other.

    great sound on this show, i do which i could of seen (BOWIE)on this tour, tickets sold out within a 24 hour limit, no matter were he played back then, (on the serious moonlight tour 1983,) lots of thanks for bringing this show to us, i think (BOWIE) was at his prime peak on this tour back then, love the lets dance album, many thanks pete007: u.k.

    Yes, in fact they are the Sims Brothers. Saw the tour stop in Hartford, CT and it was great. I've seen Bowie a few times and he never lets you down!!

    For what it's worth. Pretty sure Joyce and Kevin Simms are in fact Frank & George Simms AKA The Simms Brothers.
