  • Roger from Oz Thursday, January 06, 2011 11:08 am They've moved in more of a early-Beatles-meets-Burrito-Brothers sort of direction with this new record, but they're other recordings are a lot more Blue Cheer-meets-My-Bloody-Valentine, hence the psychedelic classification. Were the Dead a country band because they had lap-steel on a few songs?

Darker My Love is the LA-based psychedelic-indie-pop band on Dangerbird Records; a quintent that has been touring, releasing EPs and self-promoting in truest indie-rock style since 2004. The December 2010 leg of their US tour found members Tim Presley, Rob Barbato, Jared Everett, Will Canzoneri and Dan Allaire travelling tirelessly cross-country, direct from a Chicago date to their San Francisco stop at Wolfgang's Vault for a rare Vault Session. They played for us the easy-on-the-ears tunes from their 2010 release Alive As You Are. Please meet Darker My Love.
