In January 1969, for the Rolling Stone "groupie issue," Baron Wolman photographed the Plaster Casters of Chicago, as they were known. Cynthia Plaster, as she is now known, and her "plater," Dianne were able to immortalize musicians in a unique and refreshing, if somewhat controversial, manner. When the musician was ready Cynthia would place the alginate casting material on the musician's member, capturing him as an enduring and endearing sculpture.
