Concert Summary

From the preliminary planning stages of Crosby, Stills & Nash, the musicians had always planned to pursue solo projects in conjunction with working together. Following the monumental success of the debut album in 1969 and its follow-up, Déjà vu, in 1970, which brought Neil Young into the fold, each of the band members remained quite active on their own. By 1973, a wealth of solo material had been released and each of these musicians had established themselves…entire summary

Wow..seems like yesterday when i came home that nite, turned on the radio, knowing BOC was King Biscuit Hours guest. That year was bigtie breakthru with Reaper. Light years ahead of all at the time. Listen to the great job their soundman, George G. did. They should have been enshrined into the Rock and Roll Hame of Shame(oohps)Fame a long time ago...Rock on Buck, Eric and now Rudy, Jules and Richie...

I think I was at this show, down on the floor of Winterland swaying with the music and the vibe with my buds. Winterland always had a great vibe, walking in after waiting out on the sidewalk for hours, tripping on the blacklit auditorium, the rest of the freaks streaming in, a beach ball bouncing from one area to the next capturing and releasing people's imagination. I remember the old black SF cop that was always there telling people to "move along off the sidewalk, please." Every chance we got we made the pilgrimage to that mecca of rock in SF from the burbs of the south bay always trying to get there as early as we could not just to get up in front for the show but we enjoyed the wait. Getting high, talking with all the other freaks, hangin' out soaking it all in. Loved it! Miss those days.

I saw them the weekend that Nixon left the White House in August 1974. Was anyone else there? Atlantic City, New Jersey! Remember the thunderstorm and they never stopped. It would be amazing to here from that show.
