Concert Summary

It had been four years since Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young essentially broke up, at the height of success. Individually, they had each released highly acclaimed solo albums and rumors of impending reunions had been frequent. In 1973, announcements were made that the group was indeed recording together, fueling the hysteria, which was by then reaching a Beatlemania-like frenzy. By the summer of 1974, the demand for live performances by the group was so great that they were confronted with the challenging opportunity of embarking on a massive stadium tour. I was at the opening night in Seattle, Wa when they started the return tour. The longest concert I have every been to. It started with Jesse Colin Young at 8pm and ended with C,S,N & Y at 1 or 2 am in the morning. One of the best concerts ever except Pink Floyd in Seattle in 75' or 76'.

i saw this tour in jerseu city the night nixon resigned while they were on stage and all four especially neil who was jumping up and down in his london fog raincoat and hat and quickly played ohio --it was as if they were celebrating a personal victory and i was very proud to be with csnandy on the night that our most hated crook left--even stills was jubilant but neil always seemed like the star and clearly at his peak-yrs later at the woodstock reunion i only realized what a great lead guitarist stills had become totally smoking but it was almost that neil was so good they had to add him to the original harmonically perfect trio-like two bands cs&n and then on the left corner of the stage neil

Jackson and Linda were not on this concert, but The Beach Boys were. Glad to find this as I was so wasted by the end of the day I missed some of these CSNY cuts. I believe I was too busy making out with agirl from my high school.

The line-up was CSNY, Joni Mitchell, Jesse Colin Young and The Beach Boys. It was quite a day and night.
