How can you give C S N Y shit? I have seen them 10 times. Some times they are together vocally....sometimes not. Their music is still very HOT....Classic music that still rings true today. Neil Young played with them at Woodstock....did you know that?

Yeah this is bad, but like Derek hitting 200, they've got money in the bank. Funny thing is cs&n, after all this time still don't realize that what they really are is young's backups.

I love their music but when they do live they can not carry a tune in a bucket. I still love them but I am amazed at how pour they are in concert.

"Clapton is God!" they wrote on the walls on the late 60?s. What?s about these guys ? Musical harmony at it?s best. There is no room to talk about quality or any kind of value. CSN&Y a high tower in music history, on the same level as for example Stones, Led Zep. or Pink Floyd. Isn?t it the Croz to be a member in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame ? Wonderful, really wonderful music - thanks for that !

Apparently Woodydrums has forgotten more music than we will ever know! Wow, I am really impressed, NOT! This day at the park was beyond words. All 300,000 of us were there because the pain was so great that we needed to be together. Bill was all about the music, and the music was at the park all for Bill. So sorry that it was more important for you to knock CSNY as ragged, rather than listen to Neil sing a song like Long May You Run to his old friend Bill. Go back to the 70's Woodydrums, because real music fans don't need you. By the way, to the Vault writers, please get the info right. I lost a dear, dear friend on that Helicopter and his name was Steve "Killer" Kahn, and he was not the Steve Kahn that played with Jerry, as indicated by the hyperlink under his name. He was the pilot, and a great guy that lost his way on a stormy night.

Okay Riverbear, no more stupid shit. I grew up in the 70's and there was anything but gravel in my ears. My dad had fancy a Denon turntable and my first exposure to music came from what he played. Don Mclean, Pink Floyd, Steve Miller Band, Peter Paul and Mary, Buddy Holly, Eagles, CSNY, Lots of wonderful stuff. "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" is easily in my top ten favorite songs of all time, along with "Southern Cross". Music is my life. I've been a successful drummer and singer for 20 yrs. I've probably forgotten more about music than you'll ever know... That withstanding, perhaps I was a bit harsh, judging by how I pissed all these fine folks off. I do think comparisons mean something, however. There's no reason I can't compare different artists(especially from similar genres), and their live performances... For the record I LOVE the music of CSN/Y! I'm not gonna listen to their live stuff anymore because you're right, I'm always gonna be dissapointed. There are countless other wonderful shows here to choose from thanks to the fantastic life of Bill Graham... Glad it's been fun for you too, and I wish you peace as well. Woody

hey Woodydrums, this is kinda fun. I could give a rat's ass whether you consider these cat's worthy. obviously someone stuffed gravel in your ears when you were a child. Comparisons (Eagles) mean nothing. don't listen to this music anymore...please. it could only annoy you. but don't return to this this site and post stupid shit. please. peace out, Bruce

Mrentertainmentusu-I'm not sure when I ever extolled my martial art abilities, so I have no comment on that. I listened to this concert because I've always been a fan of Stills, Nash and Young. I consider Stills and Young to be among two of the greatest songwriters of the last 40 some odd years. I find many of the studio recordings to be fantastic and well crafted... However, from their first concert at Woodstock to EVERY single one I've heard since it's clear the their vocal talents do not translate well live, to put it mildly. I've seen The Eagles live about 10 times under what you may term "insurmountable odds" and they've ALWAYS sounded crisp and "on". Enough with the excuses. I don't see how my comments could be taken as showing any disrespect toward Bill Graham either. It's not his fault they suck live... I stick with what I said earlier about worthless "I almost cut my hair" Crosby. Decent harmony singer,(at least in the studio), Useful for little else. Blah...

I agree with "Class Radical," and say to "Woodydrums." Fuck you! (I'll bet your martial-arts abilities are "a bunch of slop," too! Wanna' test them? Should I treat you like Stephen Stills treated Elvis Costello when he referred to Ray Charles as a "blind, ignorant nigger?" Sorry - I got a little pissed - violently so!) Regardless - Stand up for what you say! These guys did! I'll take back my comments when I hear a bunch of YOUR recordings made with three other volitile personalities in the wake of insurmountable odds! Dude - have some respect for these pioneers - or at least the late Bill Graham - and stop your whining! Why did you listen to this concert in the first place! As Tom Leykis asks: If you don't like it, why are you listening? Pass the accident you find unsightly on the freeway instead of gawking at it and slowing down - be part of the solution, not the problem!

It's a shame Woodydrums apparently never heard a show where all members of CSN/Y were "on", but I certainly have. Perhaps he prefers InSynch? It's rather inane to suggest that one of the most popular vocal ensembles of the 60s-70s could be as bad as he suggests, and the accolades of countless musicians who count them among their primary influences surely disproves the comment. As to Crosby, cocaine certainly took a terrible toll on him, but I'd still rather listen to If Only I Could Remember My Name than just about any other solo album by anyone, ever. I recently heard a group of fifth graders do his arrangement of "Orleans" during a school concert, nearly bringing me to tears. It seems their music teacher shares my affinity for that particular piece of wax. Overrated? To the contrary, Crosby's solo work never earned much public acclaim, but for real music lovers, he is the most underrated member of the band. Pssobily the best natural harmony singer EVER!
