    Clapton's tone is mind blowing.
Bruce-Baker % Clapton were kings back then.

  • DANLS X | Monday, January 31, 2011 | 5:02 am

I've always been a Clapton fan. With Cream, Bruce and Baker were an equally important part to the puzzle. I learned many great bass lines from Bruce to use in my playing. The psychedelic era was in and I loved every part of it. It seemed to me it was all blues related. I still play and learn from these guys.

Man, it buggers me that I was born in 1993! I'll never get the chance to see the virtuosos of that time live ... Or experience actual good music on the radio... Or be able to discuss good music like this with my peers (almost everyone are brainwashed and possess no sense of musical quality, hence they listen to Lady Gaga and s**t like that) The music that's made today can't even compare to the music from the 60s and 70s. I was born a generation too late... :(

At least gems like this have been preserverd, so that we can enjoy them in all their splendor today! :D

This era of music when "CREAM" was in full bloom and i myself was getting introduced to music that i wasn't familiar with yet, was a very exciting time in the history of rock 'n roll!!! It was also the time when the "Clapton is God" slogan was written all over the nyc subways!!!

  • Dopeburger | Tuesday, November 16, 2010 | 4:09 pm

hey guys, i can't say whether or not those '67 tapes ever made it out of bill's hands (i mean i literally have no idea), but i can say that we definitely don't have them now. i am sorry though - i'm right there with you when it comes to wanting to hear these shows.

  • Riverman255 | Monday, November 15, 2010 | 6:29 am

Severus, I heard there was a fire years ago in Atlantic/Atco's warehouse, and all the tapes burned......a huge shame, but what about the Fillmore tapes? Did Atco take them from Bill???? DopeBurger, help us out here! It would be awesome to hear a FULL concert or 10 from Cream!

  • severus | Wednesday, September 08, 2010 | 1:24 am

FOLKS: NEARLY ALL UP ON THIS SITE IS ALREADY RELASED OFFICIALLY ON THE CREAM BOX SET, GOODBYE, ET AL. GIVEN THAT BILL GRAHAM RECORDED CREAM AT THEIR PEAK---IN 1967 NOT 68--AND GIVEN THOSE TAPES HAVE NEVER BEEN RELEASED, THOSE WHO TRULY LOVE CREAM AND UNDERSTAND THAT WHILE JIMI WAS PLAYING WILD THING FOR 10 MINUTES CREAM WAS PLAYING NSU AND SPOONFUL FOR 20, IT'S TIME TO RIOT FOR CREAM'S LEGACY. WRITE POLYDOR AND ALL RECORD LABELS NOW..
