Concert Summary

A recording and touring musician since 1960, Chris Hillman has had one of the longest and most well-rounded careers of anyone in the contemporary music business. After working as a solo bluegrass musician (he is prolific on bass, guitar, mandolin, and many other instruments), in 1964 he was asked to be the bassist in a new rock band out of LA called The Byrds.

The Byrds would go on…entire summary

I saw Chris (& Herb Pederson) in Utrecht, Netherlands on the Blue Highway Festival some years ago. He is one of the very few musicians I followed since the beginning of the Hillmen. And after the Byrds the Flying Burrito Bros., Manassas, Souther, Hillman Furay Band, McGuinn, Clark & Hillman, Desert Rose Band and all his Solo Albums. I enjoyed his music all the years. And now it's a pleasure to hear this wonderful concert for the first time.
