1978 was a year that included a flurry of activity for Chick Corea, one of the most important jazz keyboardists and composers of the modern era. During 1978, he released no less than five albums on three labels and toured as a solo pianist. He also performed as part of a duo with Herbie Hancock and with his first post-Return To Forever band, which included Steve Gadd, Eddie Gomez, and former RTF member, Joe Farrell.     what a joy to hear...would love to find the studio and live albums mentioned in the overview...what wasn't mentioned was his output post Miles/pre RTF.. Check out Circle, with dave holland, anthony braxton and Barry Althshul. they are very out/free but intense, one great live album from 1971 and a couple of stdio sessions. You should hear them do Wayne Shorter's Nefertiti!!! Thanx Bill GRaham, R.I.P.!!!!

    this is what you get when 2 masters of their craft come together without ego's involved, just an ear and the experience to complement each other beautifully, no battle for space just let the song speak for itself
