Concert Summary

Virtually nothing is known about this band other than the fact that they were together for five years or so, and originally came to San Francisco (Grass Valley, CA to be exact), by way of Atlanta, Georgia. Musically, they were entrenched somewhere in rock 'n' roll's no man's land, between the flower power improv-psychedelia of bands like Quicksilver and Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the guitar-driven combustion of Southern Rock bands such as the Allman Brothers, the Outlaws, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. On some tracks, they sound a lot like the '72-73 era Doobie Brothers.

I don't know if any of the band members actually check this even somewhat regularly but I'm Hugh Pitts's son, and if anyone would like to get in touch with him, feel free to send me your name and number and I can pass them along to him.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! Being a part of Carrie Nation was a wonderful experience for me. This concert at Winterland was as fun to play as it is to listen to. I was as nervous as I could ever remember. Never played to a crowd of this size or at a venue of this caliber. The reception we got was overwhelming! As you can tell. During my time with the band, the music was great and the "Nation" family and friends were even better. There are very few days go by that I don't think about these people. The ones I still am in touch with, the ones that are no longer with us and the ones I don't know where they are. I hope everyone that we touched through our music will be healthy and happy in the days to come.

hey Randy, yup, I made the spelling correction; it'll show up on the site tomorrow.

please do have Kenny write in - we'd love to hear from him.

    cheers! -pete

Dopeburger, the drummer's name is Kenny Ladenburger. It would appear you are the guy who can correct the spelling?? I'd sent Kenny a link to here a year ago. He was excited to see the concert here and was planning to stop and make a few comments. I see he hasn't. I will have to remind him. Thanks.
