Concert Summary

In 1982, a UNICEF benefit held at the Savoy in New York City was organized by rock drummer extraordinaire Carmine Appice. Don't remember the exact year, late 70's,I was at a drum clinic in a really small music store in Burlington Ia.Stood literally right in front of his black Ludwig octuplus kit.I met him again, couple years later in Chicago at the Mothers club down on Division St.He and his lady friend needed a ride really bad....... to the Continental Hotel.I did take them there.I also have an autographed pic, just like the one seen here.Long time fan, out.

I saw Charlie Daniels sing with Gretchen Wilson at Ryman Auditorium for the ASCAP Awards back in Oct 07. He is old as dirt but he still sounds great.

A fun show, a Fudge reunion! This was billed as Carmine Appice Musical Friends, and it actually took place twenty-seven years ago today - January 20, 1982. Eddie Brigati from the Rascals also gave a rare performance, along with his brother Dave. I guess the 1 or 2 songs they sang were not cleared for The Vault! Too bad. Ticket price was $10. for this show. Thanks to Colt for jotting down the details on the ticket stub.
