Concert Summary

Throughout this session, Carly Simon is joined by her son Ben Taylor, playing guitar and singing not just backup vocals, but sometimes providing the most stable and present vocals on these four songs.  It's not a crutch, but more a way of deflecting some of the spotlight from her face. She's historically shy and averse to the attention and all that comes with becoming a mega-superstar even if you didn't want to become a mega-superstar - and there aren't many people who find themselves sitting in the corner of the room thinking to themselves that they need more attention, more adoration,…entire summary

Hey! And it's free, too! You can't beat that......

LOVE this version of "Let the River Run"! What a lovely arrangement. Ditto "Your So Vain". And don't they just sound like they are having F-U-N, too, just jammin' with each other? This set is a keeper. bricon, I beg to differ with you. Her voice is not gone - it's aged, like a fine wine. None of us will sound at 60 like we do at 20. Be kind, bricon - it will happen to you, too. Meanwhile, I'll have to check out 'Daytrotter'.......

I'm still mad at the amazing James Taylor for marrying her. BUT, Sally and Ben are terrific.

Make good music, find somebody else who makes good music, procreate, duet with your offspring, gain a new generation of fans. Pretty crafty, Carly. Also, Ben Taylor is amazing. His session back in January was pretty darn good.

Growing up listening to her music, all I have to say this 'Wonderful" She sounds great and it's great that my daughter at 21 listens to her too!

Great interview, great tunes, and most of all, great Songstress. Carly has been there somewhere in the backround of my life for almost 40 years. She has brought me more joy when I was happy, but has also brought me to tears in moments of weakness. Her lyrics and her voice have the magic that will do that! She had it then, and she still does......Carly, I love "Never Been Gone"! Hope there's a follow-up!
