Equally comfortable with pop, R&B, and jazz, Auger was a founding member of the group, Steampacket, which helped launch the careers of singers Long John Baldry, Julie Driscoll, and Rod Stewart. Partnering with Julie Driscoll, Auger formed the Trinity, which recorded some of the most intriguing albums of the late 1960s, achieving international recognition for their cover of Dylan's "This Wheel's On Fire" in 1968. Good concert!
It's more funky than classic LIVE vol.1 and 2 albums.
    Great Alex on vocals !
    Brian ... is .... Brian!!!!!!!!!!!
Hey, do you know what is my -all time- favourite song ? --> "Bumpin'on sunset" ; in this concert is good, but on "Live vol.1" and "Straight ahead" is supreme !.
    Thanks Wolfgang for the concert!

This is a great show, and I have been listening to the band since Brian & Jools were with the Trinity. I wish the Vault had some work from that band. Julie Driscoll is the greatest female jazz/blues singer ever, and no matter what people say Brian is the innovator of Jazz Fusion music.

I met Alex Ligertwood when he was with Santana and told him how much I dug OB EX. Does anyone out there remember a music show on TV..late '60's possibly hosted by Brian Auger and Julie Driscoll in which they did a killer version of Come On Up by the Rascals ??

caught brian auger in many mid-to-small size venues. amazing stuff, been listening since the 1980's. the express was one of the tightest bands out there. alex was a mistake, but bumpin on sunset still gets played here once a week. thanks, wolfgang, i'd like to buy you a drink someday.mail me.
