Concert Summary

In 1975, guitarist/ songwriter/ inventor/ electrical engineer Tom Scholz, with a master's degree from MIT, was working by day at Polaroid. By night, he was recording feverishly with his own rock band, Boston, that also consisted of fellow Bostonians Brad Delp on vocals, Barry Goudreau on guitar, Fran Sheehan on bass, and John "Sib" Hashain on drums.

With Scholz at the helm, they spent most of 1975 writing an album's worth of songs that would eventually transform itself into one of the most successful debut albums by a rock band in history. Those demos, with virtually little overdubs…entire summary

I was at this concert! I'm almost positive that James Gang opened the show, and Foghat (good grief) actually was the headliner...

wow what can i say this almost matches the more expansive list from the famous Long Beach arena Dont Look Back tour live recording circulating for years but much better sound of course thanks again Wolfgang vault.Too young to catch original tours but caught opening nite of the record breaking Worcester Centrum run in 88 which was flawless.Met Goodreau & Delp at Bostomn music awards same year & down to earth as they come youd never know they had the fastest selling debut in 1976 (what a summer of music that was).

I remember the Cincinnati stop on this tour when I was 16. What a guitarfest. I had just bought a used black Les Paul Custom a month or so before the album came out. I've never been the same since. I'm still playing Boston licks on that Les Paul through my Scholz Rock Man.

Rockin`! Saw them in 1977 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I was 17 at the time. Lots of party memories thanks to the boys of Boston. Too bad we had to wait so long between album releases. They simply outdid themselves for the get go.
