Great interview with Seger. A nice opportunity to hear how Segar saw his career in 1979. It's hard to believe that 30 years have come and gone since it took place. Being a West Coaster, I'm not sure who the interviewer is. He's referred to as "Dave" by Segar at the end of the recording. Is it NY DJ Dave Herman?

Thank you for finding this interview with Bob. He has for decades been such a class act, giving his all in concert and his music has stood the test of time. Memories of what was happening in life easily flow back with Bob Seger providing the soundtrack. His honest approach in writing are evident in his music, the visions that you get as you listen to Bob tell a story. A song for every mood, the ability to make you want to get up and dance, throw your hands in the air and celebrate, sit down with your wife and enjoy a rare quiet time together, so many situations come to mind when listening to Bob Seger. Thanks you to the great group at Wolfgangs vault and Thank You, to Bob Seger for providing once again, the heartfelt soundtrack to so many peoples lives. Well done, one and all.........life is good

As an old Detroit hand, I have to thank the folks at the Vault for finding and re-issuing this interview with THE hero of my allegedly misspent youth. Bob was a resident of my hometown of Rochester, Michigan back in the System days, was not unusual to run into him in the grocery store or to see Pep and his jeep with the destroyed cymbal as the spare tire cover buzzing around town. When the state of Michigan honored him with the equivalent of Poet Laureate I said to myself "finally...." The guy is well and truly an American icon and he had and continues to have a profound impact on my life. Now, howzabout finding some concert stuff and putting it up on the site so that everybody can get a taste of what that man can do on a stage?
