Concert Summary

Bob Marley had gone from "critic's darling" and "buzz-driven roots rocker" to bona fide reggae superstar by the time he arrived in Oakland, California in the fall of 1979 to perform this show with his band, The Wailers. Sheriff Kwame: Marley played Seattle in late November of 1979. It was 30 years ago. 6 months, 1 year, blah, blah, blah. Some people do not remember the "facts" you speak of because they are human and lived this experience almost 30 years ago....could YOU be loved? Give us mortals a break.

Bob Marley was the one and only man that could sound this way .It is almost thirty years since he had left us , and there is nothing , or no one to compare him to.

JSC1227 You have got the facts incorrect, Bob Marley DID NOT perform live in the course of his last 6 months of his life and that would be in December of 1980, he was by then seeking treatment and completely bald. The last concert by whole Wailers group with him was on 23rd of september 1980. Please check your facts again, if they are facts at all. In general the this concert is great, I just wish I could buy this concert in CD format. JAH LIVE!

I saw him live in Seattle, six months before his death. I was a fan but was pressed to go by roommates, that were much more familiar with his music than I was. I was always grateful to see Bob Marley, Muddy Waters, and Albert Collins in my youth, these were all incredible musicians, which I cherish to this day. Jake

I wish I could have seen Bob Marley! I think he was one of our greatest modern day poet/philosphers!! What a loss for mankind (just like Lennon).
