Concert Summary

Listen to the 1st set of this concert here.

Journey back to 1974 and Bob Dylan's return to the stage following a seven-and-a-half year touring hiatus. As Dylan and The Band made their way across North America during the first two months of that year, expectations were tremendous. The tour was the hottest ticket in town, so much so that the US post office had to set up extra mailboxes for ticket orders in many of the major cities. Over five million paid mail orders were…entire summary

It's considered bad form to express disgust and contempt for the music scene today, most of 'em ain't old enough to drink. Not to pick on anyone in particular, but I hope the Jonas Bros get strep throat and then gang kiss Taylor Swift, who then throws up all over everyone at the American Music Awards. So I'll just listen to these amazing Dylan & The Band shows and dream of the day when the sun will rise on a world worth getting out of bed for. Yeah, I ended that sentence on a preposition, eat me.

I was there with a gang from UC Santa Barbara. The show while uneven was killer. Our car got towed by Inglewood PD, resulted in a late and crazy night...

Of the 2 shows that day, this late one sounds more on, but both great either way. Glad I attended both :) And much thanks to WV for bringing it all back home.

I attended this euphoric concert (late show)and had a unique view as I sat behind the stage and near the top; the sound was excellent even while watching their backs. Certainly some of you reading this were there. And if, like me, while you were exiting slowly amidst the heavy traffic around the Forum, you heard B. Mitchell Reed on KFWB taking us all the way home with Dylan songs. At the concert, the Band and Dylan worked an air-tight blazing set, but Dylan's solo performance was tops--gave me goose bumps. Thanks, Mr. Wolfgang, for giving us the complete concert, although I think the tracks on Before The Flood were well chosen.
