Concert Summary

Listen to the 1st set of this concert here.

Journey back to 1974 and Bob Dylan's return to the stage following a seven-and-a-half year touring hiatus. As Dylan and The Band made their way across North America during the first two months of that year, expectations were tremendous. The tour was the hottest ticket in town, so much so that the US post office had to set up extra mailboxes for ticket orders in many of the major cities. Over…entire summary

  • IF NOT FOR YOU | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 | 12:17 pm

A hip Blowin' In The Wind! Dylan makes this song his own every time he sings it. Funny you can tell here The Band never knows just quit what Bob will actually do with a song. Baez has always had the same comment & Petty said he learned so much about performing from Dylan. A true genesis of a man!

  • IF NOT FOR YOU | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 | 12:07 pm

No wonder this song is #1!
    This is real Rock'N Roll!!!!!!!!

Can't quit listening to this today.

DYLAN & THE BAND......FOREVER YOUNG, Oh, Yeah!!!!!

Mind boggling performance! Mesmorizing!! No more words to explain. Hearing this song in person would be worth more than the ticket price even if they only played this song! Thank you, Lord for letting me grow up in the '60's & live the '70's.

  • IF NOT FOR YOU | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 | 11:31 am

    Awesome!

  • IF NOT FOR YOU | Tuesday, July 19, 2011 | 11:27 am

Love the emotional GATES OG EDEN

The song dubed as the one song fans are still trying to figure out.

If looked at from a Christian's point of view the answer is obvious. Sometimes we dwell too much on finding Dylan's meaning of a song. As he said, it's different for different folks. That's what makes his songs last the test of time. I believe his songs are all a part of his life. They tell his story & how he was living/coping at a particular time. They are his personal biography & we are blessed from his life lessons!

    A flawless performance here!

How long did we wait to get in? Was it after midnight? Like a Rolling Stone, like never before or since. Thanks to Bobby Z and the Band for that amazing show. I'm 65 now, but remember it like when I was 64. Have a blast on Friday.

I'm trying to remember how late that late show started. Was it 11pm or later? Like a Rolling Stone, like never before or since.
