Concert Summary

Journey back to 1974 and Bob Dylan's return to the stage following a seven-and-a-half year touring hiatus. As Dylan and The Band made their way across North America during the first two months of that year, expectations were tremendous. The tour was the hottest ticket in town, so much so that the US post office had to set up extra mailboxes for ticket orders in many of the major cities. Over five million paid mail orders were reportedly sent in for the 650,000 tickets available over the course of the tour, making them the most in-demand ticket in the history of rock music. Forty concerts…entire summary

The one thing I can say about this concert besides a brillant rearrangement of Dylan classics is that the songs are too short! Some are so good that you just want to hear a 7 min. performance of each song, except Lay Lady Lay.

So different from the original (accoustic, slow & very sad), but this more than works...it's brillant! A rock'n Hollis!
Thi is one reason why Dylan is a musical genius & OMG The Band couldn't get any hotter!

WOW, a great BOATM! No one can sing this like Dylan!!!

Dylan on the Piano or mainly center stage? Richard Manuel on the organ. If Dylan is on the piano...well I'm impressed, if so?

Is this before, during o after his bitter divorce? If before I wonder if he had Sarah with him since it's Valentine's day?

Not the best version of Lay Lady Lay, yet emotional! Almost gut wrenching at times.

It's considered bad form to express disgust and contempt for the music scene today, most of 'em ain't old enough to drink. Not to pick on anyone in particular, but I hope the Jonas Bros get strep throat and then gang kiss Taylor Swift, who then throws up all over everyone at the American Music Awards. So I'll just listen to these amazing Dylan & The Band shows and dream of the day when the sun will rise on a world worth getting out of bed for. Yeah, I ended that sentence on a preposition, eat me."

    Couldn't agree more with you!
