Concert Summary

This performance is important not only because it is one of the few professional live recordings made of the Jerry Fisher-led version of BS&T, but because it was recorded for the very first broadcast of a legendary radio series. On February 18, 1973, the King Biscuit Flower Hour launched the first syndicated radio series of the rock era to reach North American radio listeners with live concert performances. Securing an agreement with Columbia Records, the premiere KBFH program featured a triple bill of Blood, Sweat andentire summary

I am taken back to early 1970s maybe '73 when I saw this phase of BS&T at Leeds University with support from Geordie band Sandgate. The BS&T set was phenominal, I feel that Jerry Fisher was a first rate vocalist and did no wrong with the band! Thanks for enabling!

The band here plays as if they actually like the lead singer! This was the hottest BS&T band EVER - no Primma Donna front man. Right on Jerry Fisher.

Saw Jerry Fisher with the band in Central Park summer of 72 or 73 in NYC, my high school days, great voice, sad it didn't last longer, this brings back memories, thanks.

Man, SMOKIN'!! I hadn't really forgotten how hot the Jerry Fisher fronted BS&T was, it had just slipped the old mind. Too bad, I can't sing along with Fisher the way I could in '73, but it's nice to hear this, when BS&T wasn't the one-trick pony Clayton-Thomas made them.

I Liked BS&T when Larry Willis was in the band he released an album round the time of this concert called Inner Crisis then later on in years he went on to play Straightahead Jazz which is what he's doing now.

The last track is actually titled "Out on the Coast". It is a tune by the pianist Larry Willis. I Saw this unit a number of times. The best version of BS&T imho. Jerry Fisher was awesome.

Loving Jerry Fisher in this period, he was a great match for the band. Sounds like a humble guy too despite his talent, no ego flying around the place. Hope he's doing well and still making music. BS&T in all its guises is my favourite group of all time
