Yesterday we released three new sets recorded at the 1965 Newport Jazz Festival. From an afternoon program of avant garde music, you can stream or download heady performances by the Cecil Taylor Quintet premiering material from the groundbreaking Unit Structure record, and the Paul Bley Trio frenetically exploring far out free jazz territory. For something a little more down to earth, check out an evening set from vocalist Carmen McRae full of swing, soul and cool.
