Concert Summary

This 1976 Black Sabbath concert is from the tour that promoted the band's Technical Ecstasy album. This Warner record followed a series of masterful album releases and thus failed to reach its anticipated mark. ...and Dirty Women is a hugely underrated Sabbath classic. The biggest hook in rock history. The biggest riff since the horsehead nebula headbanged its way out of Orion. [Any chance we could have the missing bits from this gig Wolfgang?]

"satan, laughing, spreads his wings!" ...as five words to conjure up the dark shadows that get cast in a war-zone, that is a pretty fine effort, isn't it? Hard to believe Milton would not have approved. [And BTW, Gypsy is not a Sabbath live classic, but the guitar solo is pretty good here.]

Good God listen to Iommi's guitar during the intro to War Pigs. THAT is heavy metal all on its own! Incredible power and raw, dark massive energy!! No Iommi, NO METAL!
