Concert Summary

This Billy Squier King Biscuit show was recorded on March 26th, 1983 at Centrum, Massachusetts, near his boyhood hometown. Squier was on the road promoting Emotions In Motion, his biggest commercial success and the album that took him from reliable support act to bonafide arena-sized headliner. Although Squier had been on the contemporary music scene for quite some time (first as leader of the A&M Records act, Piper, and later as a solo artist), when this show was recorded he was finally starting to acquire the status of rock superstar—a title he never really felt comfortable…entire summary

I was friends with drummer Bobby Chouinard. Who played on all of Billy's early records He also played with a great unknown band "Orphan". R.I.P.

I was at this show. Squier rocked, but Def Leppard smoked! I also saw Piper twice in NY at the Quayludium as a warm-up act-in 1976 sandwiched between Angel and Legs Diamond, and in '77 or '78 opening for The Babys. Piper ended with the Stones' "This Will be the Last Time", which blew away the studio version on their first album. Are there any live Piper recordings available anywhere? Preferably full length shows, but I'll take what I can get.

Squier stayed at my cousin Kim's house in Glenview, IL a couple years ago, and he was a real down-to-earth guy. Fun to talk to, engaging. When Kim introduced us, I said to Bill, "You know, Kim's got an electric guitar in the house." He just smiled and said, "Knock yourself out." He didn't play at all that night, and needless to say, neither did Kim or I. You'd never know he was a big rock star by his manner; just a good guy, like us.

Billy rocked with Ringo at Caesars Windsor Ont. Truly a rock icon with the All-Starr Band. Talent up the wazoo for this American music giant!

I remeber Squire played the Milwaukee Eagles Club probably early eighties. I was on the second floor in what was once a big bingo place and a religious fanatic turned it into a church I helped him paint it and was there for opening night same night Squire played. You could hear him thru he floors and one of the religiuos freaks kept ponting to the cieling saying "Listen this is what hell is like and sounds like". I'm thinking that's only Billy Squire you idiot. I'm thinking what would this moron think of Ozzy, can't imagine.
