Once dubbed a one-hit wonder by critics who had no business being in the business, British-born Radiohead made fools of them all with heavily textured, three-guitar rock from the heart that blasted and lasted all the way from 'Pablo Honey' to 'Amnesiac' and 'Hail to the Thief.' British-born, Thom Yorke, Collin Greenwood, Ed O'Brien, Phil Selway and Jonny Greenwood were first popular in the States, achieving substantial home-praise in '93 with the re-release of single, 'Creep.' Touring dervishes, the band opened for R.E.M.'s Monster tour. Radiohead reflects influences from Nirvana, R.E.M. and even U2 but has melded those styles into its own classic-rock-of-the-future sound. Using music, rhythm and lyrics to paint spiritual and political pictures, the band panders to no one nor is anyone or institution hands-off. Of 2003's 'Hail...'s obvious allusion to Geo.
