From Australian pubs to American arenas, INXS was one of the biggest bands of the 1980s. Albums like Listen Like Thieves and Kick sent INXS into international superstardom. Following Kick, a multi-platinum album, the band released X, which was a flop in comparison to Kick's success. Around the same time, lead singer Michael Hutchence released a side project that failed miserably. With the grunge era on the brink, INXS faced tough times and a string of tabloid scandals involving Hutchence. Despite the scandals and faltering record sales, however, the INXS fan base was still very much in existence as they toured into the '90s. In 1997, Hutchence was found dead in his Sydney hotel room. Since his death, the remaining members of INXS have performed live shows with guest vocalists, and with more than 30 million records sold worldwide and countless awards, remains one of Australia's most successful rock exports....less
