Peterson's artwork has been published in Print magazine, and he won medals from the San Francisco Society of Illustrators in advertising and Multimedia/Entertainment categories in 1996, '97, '99 and 2000. Peterson's concert poster for John Lee Hooker's Fillmore appearance was both included in the New York Society of Illustrators show and won the gold medal from the San Francisco Society in 1999.
