Concert Summary

AC/DC had been in existence for six years and had released as many albums when they recorded this rollicking show at Towson State College, near Baltimore, Maryland. The band was in its prime, with vocalist Bon Scott leading the group through what would later be viewed as some of their strongest material, with the Young Brothers (Angus and Malcolm) driving the guitar-boogie riffs at full throttle.

The band had just released Highway To Hell, the album that would break the entertaining Aussie band worldwide, and was burning up the…entire summary

    Lenny59,
    That's EXCELLENT ADVICE !
ALL KID'S who like to Rock-N-Roll with AC/DC live ! Bon Scott AC/DC is the best AC/DC EVER CREATED ! I like Brian Johnson and he certainly has talent along with his own stage persona that fit the bill at the time and currently still does, but it's nothing like Bon Scott's talent and on stage persona and never will compare ! I saw this tour at "Cobo Hall" May 1, 1979 in Detroit and it was the only time I saw AC/DC with Bon Scott, I am so lucky because he died shortly after. RIP Bon...........................
    Please don't misinterpret what I'm saying ?
I then proceeded to see AC/DC 11 more times starting out with the debut album featuring Brian Johnson on "Back In Black" ! Awesome COMEBACK !
    AC/DC STILL ROCKS !
    Rock-N-Roll Ain't Noise Pollution,
    Adam

My brother won free tickets from DC101 for this concert (he was huge Pat Travers fan) and he took me along since I had the car. AC-DC blew Pat Travers away they were incredible. Bon and Angus walked up and down the parallel aisles through the audience with radio mics on Bad Boy Boogie which was totally cool. Angus was so into performing to the crowd and getting everyone driven into a frenzy.

Thanks for posting the concert tracks!

I was at this concert 32 years ago at Towson State and remember the brown paper protecting the floors at the Gym, folding metal chairs with all of us standing up on them to get a good view of Angus jumping around on his amps. The Pat Travers band played too.
