  • g500d Friday, November 18, 2011 10:43 am I saw these guys in 1980, opening for the Rossington-Collins Band. They had just released their third album and had not yet "made it". They were simply amazing. As much as I like Don Barnes singing, this is the real 38 Special.
  • not anonymous Wednesday, October 26, 2011 6:06 pm Is that Ms. Dale Krantz signing back ups?
  • Anonymous Tuesday, October 25, 2011 3:34 pm I was at the show- and right up front. They were opening for Dickie Betts and Great Southern
  • grantbent Monday, October 24, 2011 1:54 pm I met Donnie on an airplane from Atlanta to California about 10 years ago. Real nice guy - he invited me and my wife to their concert in Clear Lake (Konocti Harbor) on that mini-tour. Although Don is the obvious musical genius in that band, Donnie has the down home spirit and during the concert he sang a song about Donnie called "Brother to Brother" that really touched me.
  • tickbryan Monday, October 24, 2011 6:17 am This is pre Don Barnes lead vocal. Not taking anything away from Donnie, they were at a crossroads and had to decide which direction they were going to survive as a group. Hat's off to Donnie for stepping back for the good of the band.
